New project ACCESS organises a conference on educational sciences on September 18-20, 2024

09/15/2023

UArctic Thematic Network Teacher Education for Social Justice and Diversity has been awarded a project "Arctic Conference on Educational Sciences (ACCESS)" by UArctic project funding for Network Activities on Arctic Research and Education 2023.

This intiative, led by UiT The Arctic University of Norway and coordinated by University of Lapland, aims to address the need for a space in which scholars across the north who are studying educational issues in Arctic can meet, share their research, and determine how best to advance the field. The synergy resulting from a gathering focused specifically on education in the Arctic will serve the needs of the communities involved in a focused manner. It will strengthen a wide and growing network of educational researchers in the circumpolar North - within UArctic Thematic Network on Teahcer Education and also outside of it.

The project was officially kicked off with a productive meeting last Tuesday, 12 September 2023. During this meeting, the project objectives were discussed and responsibilities were distributed among the project team members.
